Let’s Make It Homemade Together!

Punch Up Your Organization

Organizing punches is a crucial step in keeping your crafting supplies tidy and easily accessible. Whether you have a few punches or a large collection, organizing them can save you time and effort in your crafting projects. Here are some tips to help you organize your Stampin’ Up punches.

Sort your punches by type

The first step in organizing your punches is to sort them by type. For example, you can sort your border punches, shape punches, and sentiment punches into separate piles. This will make it easier to find the punch you need when you’re crafting.

Use storage containers

Storage containers are a great way to keep your punches organized and easily accessible. You can use plastic storage bins or drawers to store your punches. Make sure to label each container or drawer with the type of punches it contains, so you can quickly find what you need.

Use a wall-mounted punch holder

A wall-mounted punch holder is a great option if you have limited workspace or want to keep your punches within easy reach. You can mount the holder on the wall above your crafting area or on the back of a door. This allows you to easily see and access your punches while you’re crafting. Stamp n Storage makes a great punch holder that can be wall mounted or used on a shelf. Click here and search for Lock-Down Punch Holder.

Use a shelf

Similar to a wall-mounted punch holder, you could utilize a shelf. This is the method I currently use. I found a media cabinet at my local Walmart years ago. I actually purchased three of them. I wanted to utilize the vertical space in my craft room so I put one together and then added half of another on top of it. I did this for both of the cabinets I assembled when I first got them. I have since rearranged my room many times and took one half off of one of the cabinets so it fits under some shelves. I store the extra shelves from that other half that isn’t currently being used under my punches.

Label your punches

Labeling your punches can make it easier to find the one you need. You can use small labels or post-it notes to write the name or type of punch on the top or side of each punch. I use a label maker and label my punches. This will make it easy to identify the punch you need, even if you’re storing them in a drawer or container.

Keep a punch inventory

Keeping an inventory of your punches can help you keep track of what you have and what you need. You can create a list of your punches in a notebook or spreadsheet. This can help you avoid purchasing duplicate punches and ensure that you have a variety of shapes and sizes for your crafting projects.

Store punches with their coordinating stamps

If you have coordinating stamps for your punches, consider storing them together. This will make it easy to find the punch and stamp you need for a particular project. You can store them in a container or drawer labeled with the stamp set name or type of punch.

I am sure you will find that organizing your punches can help you keep your crafting supplies tidy and easily accessible. By sorting your punches by type, using storage containers, labeling your punches, and keeping an inventory, you can ensure that you have the punches you need for your crafting projects. Whether you choose to use a wall-mounted punch holder or keep your punches in their original packaging, the key is to keep them organized and protected.
